A look back at February.
February was filled with Valentine's Day, I love you day, and Russell's birthday. We got two more cats and I completed 24 hours of community service at the Animal Defense League. The Women of Faith Conference was really good. I liked Mark Shultz and Sherri Shepherd the best.

We are so deceived by the media--there definitely aren't any 1 Peter 3:3-4 messages in the images we are daily bombarded with.
I actually just came to find out the other day that the "skinny look" became popular in the 60s with the emergence of Twiggy. Before then, women in the spotlight were more voluptuous, curvy, and real.
I think that God calls us to be good stewards of our body, eating in a self-controlled manner and exercising regularly, but doing those things won't bring satisfaction if they are not done with a heart that recognizes its beauty and worth in Christ first.
I love the Dove campaign, though, and would love to see cellulite, stretch marks, and wrinkles all over Hollywood's glamorous.
Just another way for Satan to distract our minds from what is unseen, and draw our eyes of the only One who deserves our ever-fixed gaze...
